Moose sign Chris St. Croix to PTO

The Manitoba Moose announced today they have signed defenseman Chris St. Croix to a professional tryout contract.

St. Croix, 29, has appeared in 41 games so far this season with the Las Vegas Wranglers of the ECHL, where he has scored seven points (1-6-7) and recorded 33 penalty minutes, as well as eight games with the Elmira Jackals where he had three points (1-2-3) and four penalty minutes. He has also appeared in two games with the Iowa Chops of the AHL, recording two penalty minutes. The Voorhees, New Jersey native has already played in 22 games with the Moose earlier in his career. From 2002-04, he scored two points (1-1-2) and 20 penalty minutes.

He was originally drafted by the Calgary Flames in the fourth round, 92nd overall, in the 1997 NHL Entry Draft.
