RiverKings Support Ole Miss Hockey in Jersey Auction

SOUTHAVEN, MS --- The Mississippi RiverKings of the Central Hockey League continuned to support worthwhile programs last night during their game with the Allen Americans at Southaven's DeSoto Civic Center.
The RiverKings wore special Ole Miss-themed jerseys during the game, which were auctioned off to the highest bidder during a post-game jersey auction.
A total of $8,625 was raised through the jersey auction, designated to be shared between the Ole Miss IceRebel hockey program and the Jr. StreetKings inline hockey program, based in Hernando.
The IceRebels compete at the club hockey level with other schools in the SEC Hockey Conference, playing its home games at the DeSoto Civic Center.
The Jr. StreetKings, a part of Hernando Youth Sports, is supported by the RiverKings' parent organization, the Maddox Foundation, also of Hernando.
Mississippi continues its weekend schedule of games tonight in Allen, Texas against the Americans at 7:00 PM. Broadcast coverage on Sports 56, WHBQ-AM and CHL-TV begins at 6:45 PM from the Allen Event Center.
