
RiverKings Silence Thunder for Third Straight Win

Mississippi RiverKings News Release
(Wichita, KS) -- The Mississippi RiverKings won their third straight game and ran their season record to 5-4-0 with a 6-2 win at Wichita Saturday night.
Bobby Chaumont scored a pair of goals in the win, as did Brad Bonello, whose first goal became the eventual game-winning goal in the RiverKings' victory.
Both players added an assist apiece for a three-point night.
Louis Dumont scored a goal and added two assists, and Garrett Larson assisted of three of the Mississippi goals in the victory.
Kevin Beech made 19 saves in posting his fifth win of the season (5-3-0).
Wichita goals were scored by Luke Hunter and Chris Shudo. Dan McWhinney (0-4-0) made 23 saves in the loss.
Mississippi scored a season-high three power play goals in the win. They face Northeast Division-leading Oklahoma City in a two-game home set next Friday and Saturday nights at the DeSoto Civic Center. Game time both nights is 7:05 PM and tickets are available through the DCC box office and Ticketemaster.
