
Thunder drop fourth straight

WICHITA, KS- The Wichita Thunder dropped their fourth straight game in a 6-2 loss to the Mississippi Riverkings on Saturday night at the Kansas Coliseum. Rookies Luke Hunter and Chris Shudo scored goals to keep the game close, as Wichita only trailed 3-2 late in the second. The Riverkings went on to score three unanswred goals to break the game open, including two apiece from Bobby Chaumont and Brad Bonello.
Hunter's goal came on the power play, marking the seventh consecutive contest that Wichita has scored on the man advantage. Jason Duda and Bryan Nathe had their point streaks end at six.
Wichita returns to action next Friday when they take on the Laredo Bucks on the road. Opening faceoff is scheduled for 7:30 p.m.
The Thunder return home Friday November 21st when they host the Texas Brahmas at 7:05 p.m. For tickets, call the Thunder office at 264-GOAL.
