
Goaltender Gistedt Recalled to San Antonio

PRESCOTT VALLEY, Ariz. - The 2008 Central Hockey League Ray Miron President's Cup Champion Arizona Sundogs announced Saturday that NHL parent club the Phoenix Coyotes has recalled goaltender Joel Gistedt to the San Antonio Rampage of the American Hockey League.
Gistedt, 20, is in his first professional season in North America and has 67 saves and a .817 save percentage through three games with the Sundogs this season. The native of Uddevalla, Sweden was selected in the second round (36th overall) by the Phoenix Coyotes in the 2007 NHL Entry Draft.
Gistedt will join the Rampage immediately to fill netminder Al Montoya's absence as he tends to a family matter.
