SOUTHAVEN, MS --- The Mississippi RiverKings of the Central Hockey play their first game under new Head Coach/Director of Hockey Operations Paul Gardner tonight, taking on the Evansville IceMen in a 7:05 PM faceoff at the DeSoto Civic Center in Southaven.

Mississippi looks to continue its recent home success, bringing a 7-5-0 home record into tonight's contest. The RiverKings have also won three of its last five (3-1-1) and six of its last ten contests (6-3-1).
The RiverKings are in the middle of a four game home stand, with games against Bossier-Shreveport Saturday and Bloomington Tuesday to follow. After the home stand, the RiverKings start a string of ten of eleven games on the road, with only a January 2nd matinee (3:05 PM) breaking up the long, winding trip around the CHL. The road trip will bring the RiverKings to Allen, Fort Wayne, Evansville, Bossier-Shreveport, Laredo (2 games), and Missouri, before heading back to Fort Wayne and Evansville before it's finished.
RIVERKINGS UPCOMING EVENTS
Tonight is Monster Nation Night, when the RiverKings host the Evansville IceMen at 7:05 PM. Monster Nation is a high-impact, family friendly motorsports event you won't want to miss, when it comes to the DeSoto Civic Center on January 7th and 8th. Ticket vouchers will be given away to the DeSoto Civic Center Monster Nation event to the first 100 fans in the building that night. Other Monster Nation prizes will be given away as well during the game.
Tonight is also another Season Ticket Redemption Night, when unused season tickets up to that night's game can be exchanged for extra tickets for Friday's contest. Season ticket exchanges can only be done through the DeSoto Civic Center box office prior to the Friday game with the IceMen.
Tuesday, December 21st, the Mississippi RiverKings invite you to celebrate the holidays early when the Bloomington PrairieThunder. One child age 12 and under will be admitted free with an adult paid admission to that night's game between the RiverKings and PrairieThunder. The limit is one child per each paid adult admission of equal or lesser value. It's another great way to bring out the family to watch your hometown hockey team in action and save money at the same time. The offer is available for the December 21st game only and only available at the DCC box office during their office hours.
Wednesday, December 22nd is an Away Game Watch Party at the Southaven Buffalo Wild Wings, 7188 Airways Boulevard, north of Goodman Road. Fans will be able to come watch the CHL-TV broadcast of the game on the big screen, when the RiverKings travel to Bloomington to play the PrairieThunder.
