MOLINE, Ill. (December 17, 2010) - Jake Riddle scored twice and the host Quad City Mallards struck for four power play goals on the way to a 5-1 win over the Fort Wayne Komets Friday. The victory lifted the Mallards over .500 to 12-11-0 on the season.

The Mallards emerged from the first period with a 3-1 lead and never looked back. Quad City converted its first power play when Eric Giosa tipped in the game's opening goal at 3:41 of the first. Just under two minutes later it was the Komets who were up a man when Mathieu Couradeau redirected an equalizer into the Mallard net. Yet another power play would produce the first of four unanswered Mallard goals as Tyler Kindle's blue line blast made it 2-1 at 12:47. Riddle tipped in the first even strength goal of the game to stretch the Mallard lead to 3-1 with just 98 seconds left in the period.

The Mallards compounded the Komets' woes by scoring two more man advantage goals in the second period. Obi Aduba wristed home the fourth Quad City goal from the slot at 4:46. At 16:09 Riddle swept in a rebound to widen the gap to 5-1.
