Rockford RiverHawks News Release

LOVES PARK, Ill. - The Rockford RiverHawks have picked up three players.

The RiverHawks announced the signings of pitchers Jordan Liette and Nelson Curry, and infielder Ted Obregon.

Liette is from Division II Tiffin University in Ohio. He was 6-6 with a 4.27 ERA in 16 appearances. He completed half of his 12 starts. He struck out 69 and walked 27 in 78 innings. Liette pitched 5 1/3 innings of scoreless, four-hit ball in his pro debut, but got a no-decision as Rockford's starter in Thursday's 3-2 loss at Schaumburg.

Curry has played in the Frontier League with both Lake Erie and Windy City this season. He combined to post no record and an 18.00 ERA in two appearances. He is a former Chicago White Sox farmhand.

Obregon is a former St. Louis farmhand. The Cardinals released him from their high Class A Palm Beach farm club earlier this season. He hit .236 with no home runs and 12 RBI in 64 Florida State League games.

The RiverHawks made room on the roster with the releases of pitchers Joey Gradney, Cliff Archibald and Cory Trudell.

The RiverHawks are members of the Frontier League, an independent professional baseball league in its 20th season. Games are broadcast live on WNTA (100.5 FM). Advertising and season-ticket information is available by calling (815) 885-2255. Fans can also visit www.rockfordriverhawks.com.
