THE WEEK THAT WAS:

November 23, 2005 @ Danbury (4-1 win)
The RiverDogs went out in front 3-0 and never looked back as the team sent the Trashers packing to the score of 4-1. The RiverDogs got goals from Joey Bastien, Dennis Mullen and J.J.Wrobel. The RiverDogs were outshot 54-17 however Mike D'Alessandro looked very sharp in goal. The two teams combined for 17 power plays, neither team scored. Attendance at the Danbury Ice Arena: 2,117.

November 25, 2005 vs. Danbury (3-1 loss)
Danbury and Richmond battled again, this time at the Richmond Coliseum, however the RiverDogs fell short by a count of 3-1. Danbury got goals from Mike Omicioli, Brad Wingfield and former RiverDogs player Dave Hymovitz. Brian Goudie got the lone goal for the RiverDogs late in thethird period with the team on a 6 on 3 power play. The loss snapped the RiverDog's three game win streak. Attendance at the Richmond Coliseum: 3,102.

November 26,2005 vs. Roanoke Valley(5-4 SOW)
In a seesaw, back and forth contest between inner-state rivals found the RiverDogs betating Roanoke Valley by the score of 5-4 in a shootout that lasted 13 rounds. Richmond opened the scoring in the first period on a Joeu Bastien tally. The Vipers came back early in the second period with a pair of markers to go ahead 2-1. The RiverDogs scored three straight on goals from Bastien, his second of the night, Rafal Martynowski and Warren Cooper to put the team up 4-2. The RiverDogs gave up the two-goal margin on goals from Mark Kenney and Mark Scott to tie and force the game into a shootout, the third shootout
for the RiverDogs this season.

November 27, 2005 vs. Danbury (3-2 SOW)
The RiverDogs and Vipers met for the second straight game, fourth between the sides this season, and the results were relatively the same- a 3-2 shootout win for the Dogs. Roanoke Valley and Richmond played tough, tight hockey as the Vipers went up 2-0 midway through the 3rd period. A pair of scraps featuring Rookie Bill Vandermeer and John DiPace sparked the RiverDogs bench, resulting in a pair of goals in 1:19, a shorthanded goal from Warren Cooper and an even strength marker from David Brosseau. The game ended with the RiverDogs prevailing 2-1 in the shootout and winning the contest 3-2. Doug Groenestege got the victory between the pipes for the Dogs. Attendance: 1,112.

THE WEEK AHEAD:
The RiverDogs are now in fourth place in the Eastern Division as the team's record is now 7-9-1 for 15 points, but gaining ground on second place Danbury, who has 18 points and a game in hand on the RiverDogs. Since the RiverDog's 0-5-0 start, the team has gone 7-4-1. The RiverDogs will give the team bus a much needed rest as the team plays their next three games at home, beginning with a pair against the Adirondack Frostbite on Wednesday, November 30 at 7:05 pm and on Friday, December 2 at 7:35 pm. The week concludes on Saturday, December 3 with a 7:35 pm battle with the Elmira Jackals.

TOYS FOR TOTS NIGHT ON FRIDAY
On Friday, December 2 when the RiverDogs and Frostbite collide at 7:35pm, it will be TOYS FOR TOTS NIGHT. All fans in attendance are requested to bring in a new, unwrapped toy when they enter the doors. The toys collected will be donated to local children's hospitals. Fans who received Fox Socks on Saturday, November 26, are asked to return the socks filled with Christmas goodies on the same night.
