
Rights to Troy Smith Sent to Danbury

Moline, IL-Quad City Mallards Head Coach and General Manager Brian Curran announced today that the team has traded the rights to defenseman Troy Smith to the Danbury Trashers in exchange for future considerations.
Last season, Smith played 48 games on the Mallards blueline. The Hamilton, Ontario native recorded seven goals and three assists for 10 points on the year. He began this season playing in England with the London Racers.
The Mallards are back at the Blackbear Lounge at The Lodge for Duck Talk tonight at 7:00 p.m. Mallards Coach Brian Curran will join host Aaron Roof along with Mallards Terry Friesen, Matt Radoslovich and Joel Pullman. The show can be heard on Fox Sports Radio AM 1230.
The Mallards are back on the ice on Friday in Missouri. Game time is 7:00 p.m. The Mallards Pre-Game Show starts at 6:35 p.m. During the intermissions, stay tuned for the Swiss Valley Farms Intermission Report. After the game, the Allstate Insurance Christy Cox Post-Game Show will air.
