Charleston RiverDogs News Release
The Charleston RiverDogs and Greenville Drive will play Wednesday's game as scheduled, with first pitch coming at 7:05 p.m. at Joseph P. Riley, Jr. Park.
Due to heavy rains in the Lowcountry resulting from tropical storm Alberto, the series schedule between the Charleston RiverDogs and Greenville Drive has been altered slightly.
The two clubs will make up the postponed game originally scheduled for Tuesday as part of a doubleheader on Thursday, June 15. First pitch of the twin bill is slated for 5:05 p.m. There will be two seven-inning games, with the second game to begin approximately 30 minutes following the conclusion of game one.
The RiverDogs took the first game of the four-game series Monday night, 2-1, their fifth consecutive win. With the victory the RiverDogs jumped ahead of the Drive in the standings into fourth place by half game with six games remaining in the season's first half.
For Wednesday's single game, Charleston will throw left-hander Wilkins Arias (3-3, 4.14) against Greenville's all-star right-hander Chris Jones (3-1, 1.93).
Tickets are available for all RiverDogs home games by calling 577-DOGS (3647) or online at www.riverdogs.com.
