CHARLESTON, S.C. - Roberto Alomar, Josh Hamilton, and Carl Crawford are just a few of the great hitters who started their journey to stardom in Charleston. While all those players have since moved on to the Major Leagues, many more with the potential to make the bigs call the Holy City home right now.
On Friday, July 22, the youth of the Lowcountry will have a chance to learn the fundamentals of hitting from current Charleston RiverDogs in the club's annual hitting clinic.
The Yankees of tomorrow will instruct participants on everything that goes into producing a top notch swing, from the grip and stance, to the trigger and follow-through.
Campers will take part in this once-in-a-lifetime experience from 9 a.m.-1 p.m. for a cost of $50.
"The skills and memories the campers will take away from future New York Yankees are priceless," said Melissa Azevedo, the RiverDogs' Director of Special Events.
