TONIGHT: The Richmond Flying Squirrels and Bowie Baysox will meet in game two of a three-game series...Three Flying Squirrels pitchers combined on a three-hit shutout as Richmond scored an unearned run in the top of the fourth inning to knock off the Baysox 1-0 on Monday night in front of 1,122 fans at Prince George's Stadium.
TONIGHT'S STARTERS: Left-hander Clayton Tanner gets the start in game two of the series for the Flying Squirrels...Enters

PITCHING IN: The Flying Squirrels pitching staff tossed its third shutout of the season last night and its second in the last three games...Richmond leads the Eastern League with a 2.88 ERA through 31 games and the Flying Squirrels rank third in the league with 254 strikeouts. The pitching staff has logged a league-high 288 innings of work, 15 2/3 more innings than the Trenton Thunder who ranks second in innings pitched.
OFF AND RUNNING: The Flying Squirrels went 3-for-4 in stolen base attempts last night, and the club has stolen 30 bases in 35 attempts on the season...Richmond has been successful on 86% of its stolen base attempts, the highest percentage in the Eastern League...Portland is second, having been successful on 84% (26-for-31) of its stolen base attempts...Justin Christian leads the Flying Squirrels going 9-for-9 in stolen base attempts this season.
DEPARTMENT OF DEFENSE: The Flying Squirrels have gone a season-long six games without committing an error...The club has not had a miscue in the field since Justin Fitzgerald's error in the bottom of the sixth inning 5/4 at New Britain...Richmond is third in the Eastern League with a .983 fielding percentage, trailing Portland and Reading by .001 (.984)...The club is tied for the third-fewest errors committed on the season (20)...The Flying Squirrels have turned 29 double plays, second-most in the league behind New Britain (32).
HOMESICK: Richmond is batting .191 (91-for-477) on the road and is averaging 2.79 runs per game (39R/14G) in 14 contests...The Flying Squirrels are batting .245 (140-for-571) in 17 games at The Diamond while averaging 4.18 runs per game at home (71R/17G)...Seven of the club's 12 home runs have been hit at The Diamond.
THE GEORGIA PEACH: Second baseman Charlie Culberson has hits in each of his last six games, his second hitting streak of at least six games this season...The 22-year-old is 8-for-22 (.364) with one RBI and three runs scored over his last six games...He has struck out just six times in 34 at-bats (18%) this month after striking out 22 times in 93 at-bats (24%) in April...Culberson leads the Eastern League with 127 at-bats and is tied for third in hits (37), having appeared in all 31 games for Richmond this season.
BOOK 'EM DAN-O: Right-hander Dan Otero has tossed 10 2/3 consecutive scoreless innings over his last six appearances, the longest scoreless streak of the season for a Flying Squirrels pitcher...The 26-year-old has struck out 13 batters and walked none while holding opponents to a .225 (9-for-40) average against over the course of the streak.
