Tonight, the SeaWolves look to extend their winning streak as they take on the Akron Aeros (Cleveland Indians) in the middle game of a three-game series at Jerry Uht Park. Last night, the 'Wolves blasted off early in the game and plated 10 runs in the first four innings en route to a 10-3 win over the Aeros. The win gives the SeaWolves their first three-game winning streak of the season (Erie had on back-to-back games on five separate occasions). The win also puts the 'Wolves at a game under .500 at 14-15 and they are just a half game out of first place in the EL West. All six teams in the Western Division are separated by 1.5 games with four teams tied for second place...Right hander Mark Sorensen takes the mound for the 'Wolves making his sixth start of the season. Sorensen has taken losses in back-to-back starts. In his most recent outing at Binghamton, Sorensen allowed seven runs on 11 hits with a walk and no strikeouts while working a season-best seven innings...Lefty Matt Packer takes the mound for the Aeros. Packer is making his sixth start and first against the 'Wolves. Packer has dropped his last four outings. In his last start at Altoona, Packer allowed four runs, three earned, on six hits with a pair of walks and five strikeouts. Opponents are hitting .265 off of Packer this season...The SeaWolves have outscored opponents 25-8 in the last three games. The SeaWolves are hitting .297 over their last 10 games and .335 over their last five. Erie has collected 103 hits and scored 59 runs in the last 10.
