SAN ANTONIO (Jan. 3, 2006) - The San Antonio Rampage today announced that their parent club, the Phoenix Coyotes, have reassigned center Pascal Rheaume to the American Hockey League team.

Rheaume was recalled on an emergency basis from San Antonio on Friday and skated in the Coyotes' game versus Colorado on Saturday night. The 32-year-old center finished with 6:10 of ice time and zero points.

The Coyotes acquired Rheaume in a trade along with Ray Schultz and Steven Spencer from New Jersey in exchange for Brad Ference on Nov. 25. In 10 games with the Rampage this season, Rheaume has registered 2-0-2 and eight penalty minutes (PIM).

Prior to the trade, the Quebec City, Quebec native played in 12 NHL games this season with the New Jersey Devils, collecting four PIM. Rheaume also skated in nine games with Albany (AHL), recording 2-0-2 and nine PIM.

In his NHL career, the 6-1, 210-pound forward has played in 318 career games over parts of nine seasons with New Jersey, St. Louis, Chicago, Atlanta, the New York Rangers, and the Coyotes, registering 39-52-91 and 144 PIM.
