Cote returns to Bulldogs

Montreal Canadiens General Manager Bob Gainey announced today that the team has assigned defenseman Jean-Philippe Côté to the Hamilton Bulldogs.

Cote, 23, has played in 26 games for Hamilton this season, earning three assists and 51 penalty minutes. In three games with the Canadiens, the native of Quebec City, Quebec, has gone scoreless while posting four penalty minutes.

Hamilton's next action will take place on Wednesday, January 4, when the team begins a five-game home stand by facing the Grand Rapids Griffins. Game time is 7:30 p.m.
