Lightning Call Up Milley, Campbell

Springfield, MA - The Springfield Falcons, proud members of the American Hockey League, announced today that forwards Jim Campbell and Norm Milley have been recalled by their National Hockey League affiliate, the Tampa Bay Lightning. Both players will join the Lightning in New York for their game against the Rangers Tuesday night at Madison Square Garden.

Milley is in his sixth season of professional hockey and is second on the Falcons in scoring this season with 12 goals and 20 assists for 32 points in 34 games played. The 6-foot, 195-pound native of Toronto, Ontario is also second on the team in power play goals with seven and he converted on the Falcons' only penalty shot of the season on December 11 at Providence. Milley was signed by the Lightning as a free agent this past summer after spending the previous five seasons within the Buffalo Sabres organization.

Campbell is in his 13th season of professional hockey and is also in his first full season with Springfield. Campbell is currently fifth on the Falcons in scoring with 10 goals and eight assists for 18 points in 27 games played. The 6-foot-2, 207-pound native of Worcester, MA is a veteran of 284 career NHL games splitting time in St. Louis, Montreal, Chicago and Florida.

In conjunction with the recall of Milley and Campbell, the Falcons have recalled left wing Randy Rowe from their ECHL affiliate, the Johnstown Chiefs. Rowe is currently second on the Chiefs in scoring this season with 11 goals and seven assists for 18 points in 23 games played. Rowe is also tied with Justin Kelly for the Johnstown team lead in goals this year.

The Falcons return to action on Wednesday, January 4 when they travel to Albany to battle the River Rats at the Pepsi Arena starting at 7:05 PM. Springfield returns home on Saturday night when they host the Manchester Monarchs at the MassMutual Center starting at 7:05 PM. All games can be heard live on the Falcons Hockey Network, WMAS AM 1450, as "The Voice" of the Falcons John Michael handles the play-by-play duties. All games can also be seen live through the B-2 Network for only $6.00.
