FOXBOROUGH, Mass. - The New England Revolution's fifth and final collection in the 2014 Charitable Drive series is set for Saturday, October 4, when Revs fans are asked to donate canned and/or non-perishable foods at the team's 7:30 p.m. match against the Columbus Crew at Gillette Stadium.

The canned and non-perishable food items collected on Saturday will benefit the Greater Boston Food Bank (GBFB). Some of the items most desired by GBFB include dried, evaporated and boxed milk; beans; chili; canned meats and fishes; tomato and pasta sauces; canned vegetables and fruits; crackers; whole-grain rice; oatmeal and pasta. A full list of the most desired items, as well as some general donation guidelines, is available here.

The Greater Boston Food Bank is the largest hunger-relief organization in New England and among the largest food banks in the country. Last year, the GBFB distributed 48 million pounds of food, enough to provide healthy meals to as many as 545,000 people.

Donations will be accepted starting at 5:30 p.m., and end at approximately 7:45 p.m. Collection bins will be set up in NRG Plaza and Bank of America Plaza.

Fans who make a donation on Saturday will receive an autographed Revolution player card.
