From the Notes

All-PCL Squad: Two Aces, Peter O'Brien and Jamie Romak, were named to the All-PCL team announced today. O'Brien was named as one of the three outfielders, and Romak was listed as the PCL's designated hitter. Reno was joined by El Paso as the only teams in the PCL with multiple players on the squad. O'Brien and Romak were also named to the PCL mid-season All-Star team, in addition to their participation in the Triple-A Home Run Derby. O'Brien and Romak's naming to the All-PCL team marks the fourth time in seven years that two or more Aces have made the team.

Player of the Week: Aces OF Todd Glaesmann was named the PCL Player of the Week today for his performance in seven games from August 24-30. In the seven games, Glaesmann hit .586 (17-for-29) with 8 RBI, 9 runs scored, 9 doubles, 3 home runs and a walk. He became the first player in the PCL in the last ten years to record nine doubles in a single week. The 24-year-old is currently riding an 11-game hitting streak in which he's hit .512 (21-for-41) with 8 RBI, 11 runs scored, 9 doubles, 1 triple and 3 home runs. The 11-game streak is the longest of the season for Glaesmann, but it's still short of a career-best 14-game streak he set from June 2-16, 2012 while playing for Low-A Bowling Green.

Sacking Sac-town: The Aces lead the season series over the River Cats, 8-4, in large part because of Reno's first-ever four-game sweep completed at Raley Field from June 18-21. The Aces are seeking their first season-series win over Sac-ramento for the first time since the Aces' inaugural 2009 campaign when they finished 10-6 against the then-Oakland Athletics affiliated River Cats.

Owning on Offense: The Aces rank in the top three of many major offensive categories in the Pacific Coast League. The list includes: total bases (2,121, 1st), slugging percentage (.455, 1st), batting average (.287, 1st), doubles (317, 1st), OPS (.803, 1st), hits (1,340, 2nd), home runs (132, T-2nd) and runs scored (714, 3rd).
