ROUND ROCK, Texas - Former Round Rock Express closer Jon Edwards has been named to the 2015 All-Pacific Coast League Team, the league announced Monday. Players were elected by the league's field managers and media representatives.

Edwards, 27, was 2-1 with a 1.42 ERA (5er/31.2ip) in 32 relief appearances for the Express. He converted 20 of 21 save opportunities, and remains tied with Iowa's Brian Schlitter for the league lead in saves (22). Edwards split the 2015 season between the Express and the Texas Rangers, where he had a 6.00 ERA (4er/6.0ip) in 11 appearances. He allowed just two home runs this season, while walking 16 batters and striking out 50. Edwards was traded to El Paso on August 21 as the player to be named later in the Rangers trade for Will Venable. Edwards was originally drafted by the St. Louis Cardinals in the 14th round of the 2006 June draft.

The rest of the 2015 All-PCL Team features Oklahoma City catcher Austin Barnes, Tacoma 1B Jesus Montero, Nashville 2B Joey Wendle, Fresno 3B Matt Duffy, Albuquerque SS Cristhian Adames, Colorado Springs OF Domingo Santana, El Paso OF Alex Dickerson, Reno OF Peter O'Brien, Reno DH Jamie Romak, Iowa pitcher Carlos Pimentel and New Orleans pitcher Adam Conley. Edwards was the only relief pitcher selected to the team.

The Express open a four-game series at Nashville tonight at 7:05 p.m. before returning home on Friday for the final four-game series of the regular season.
