
Jamie Romak, Peter O'Brien Named to All-PCL Team

RENO - Reno Aces (@Aces) Jamie Romak and Peter O'Brien have been named to the All-PCL Team, the Pacific Coast League announced today.
The Aces join the El Paso Chihuahuas as the only two teams in the PCL to have two players named to the team.
Romak, 29, was selected to the team as the designated hitter. In 122 games, Romak is hitting .285 (129-for-452) with 95 RBI, 81 runs scored, 40 doubles, 25 home runs and 3 triples. He is among PCL leaders in total bases (250, 1st), home runs (2nd), doubles (T-2nd), RBI (3rd), slugging percentage (.553, 3rd), RBI (4th), walks (60, T-5th), OPS (.922, 5th) and hits (T-10th).
The Diamondbacks selected Romak's contract on August 8th. He appeared in six games with the D-backs and hit .300 (3-for-10) with 1 RBI and 1 double. He was optioned back to Reno on August 17th.
O'Brien, 25, was selected to the team as an outfielder. In 122 games, he's hitting .285 (129-for-456) with 96 RBI, 73 runs scored, 30 doubles, 24 home runs and 7 triples. He is among PCL leaders in RBI (2nd), total bases (245, 2nd), home runs (T-3rd), triples (T-4th), slugging percentage (.537, 7th), doubles (T-9th), hits (10th), OPS (.869, 11th) and runs (12th).
It's the fourth time in seven years the Aces have had multiple representatives on the All-PCL Team. In 2011, Cody Ransom and Collin Cowgill were named to the team. Jake Elmore, Ryan Wheeler and Adam Eaton were placed on the team in 2012. Last year, Andy Marte and Nick Ahmed were honored on the All-PCL Team.
Romak and O'Brien were named midseason PCL All-Stars and represented the Aces in Omaha, Nebraska. The pair also participated in the Triple-A Home Run Derby where O'Brien was the runner-up.
