Reign Release Cory Ward from PTO

ONTARIO, CA - The Ontario Reign announced today that they have released forward Cory Ward from his professional tryout contract. Ward will rejoin the Manchester Monarchs (ECHL).

The 24-year-old Ward (born September 23, 1993) is a 5-11, 205-pound native of Las Vegas, NV who skated in 18 games with the Reign this season scoring one goal in that time (1-0-1). Before signing a PTO with the Reign on November 16, 2017, Ward skated in 14 games with the Monarchs, registering five goals and seven assists (5-7-12). Since he completed his senior season at Bemidji State University in 2016, Ward has skated in 28 total American Hockey League games between St. John's, Syracuse and Ontario.

The Reign are back at home Friday, March 9 when they host the San Diego Gulls, AHL affiliate of the Anaheim Ducks for the start of a six game home stand. Single game tickets are available at ontarioreign.com or by visiting the Citizens Business Bank Arena Box Office.
