"Salute Our Military Night" to Highlight Roadrunners Weekend against Texas
March 8, 2018 - American Hockey League (AHL)
Tucson Roadrunners News Release
TUCSON, AZ - The Tucson Roadrunners, proud American Hockey League affiliate of the Arizona Coyotes, return to Tucson Arena this weekend, welcoming the Texas Stars for the only time this regular season.
Friday night is "Salute Our Military Night" with $1 from every ticket sold being donated to the Arizona United Service Organization.
At the game, the Roadrunners will kick off the festivities with an ice-wide flag presentation by both military personnel and local youth hockey players as Canyon View Elementary School sings the national anthem and Leman Academy sings God Bless America. Military representatives will be honored throughout the night, including Tucson's own Air Combat Command A-10 Thunderbolt II Demonstration Flight Team from Davis-Monthan Air Force Base. The crew was recognized nationally for completing the flyover prior to Super Bowl LII in Minneapolis last month.
Saturday night fans in attendance will receive a car window shade courtesy of Crest Insurance upon arrival, while supplies last. Throughout the evening, all can enjoy $1 hot dogs, popcorn and soda at concession stands throughout the arena.
Entering the weekend, the Roadrunners hold first place in the Pacific Division with 16 games remaining in the regular season.
