Reed recalled to Albany

ESTERO, FL - Florida Everblades president and general manager Craig Brush along with head coach Malcolm Cameron announced that forward Harrison Reed has been recalled by the Carolina Hurricanes and reassigned to the Albany River Rats of the American Hockey League.

Reed joined the Everblades earlier this week and skated in his first game with the team on November 25 at Gwinnett, scoring a goal in the contest. He returns to the River Rats where he has skated in 11 games scoring one goal. The native of Holland Landing, Ontario made his professional debut with Albany on October 11 vs. Bridgeport, and then tallied his first professional point with his first pro goal a week later at Bridgeport.

Prior to turning pro, the former 3rd round draft pick by the Carolina Hurricanes in 2006, finished off a four-year junior career in the Ontario Hockey League. From 2004-2008 Reed skated in 210 career junior games, scoring 178 points (69g, 109a) with London, Sarnia and Guelph. His best season came in 2006-07 when he notched a junior career-high 81 points (29g, 52a) in 67 games with the Sarnia Sting.

The Everblades return to action on Friday, November 28 when they travel to Reading to take on the Royals from the Sovereign Center at 7:05 p.m.! The Everblades' next home game is Friday, December 12 when they host the South Carolina Stingrays at 7:30 p.m.
