
Florida's Baker Named In Glas Co ECHL Player Of The Week

PRINCETON, N.J. - Kevin
Baker of the Florida Everblades is the In Glas Co ECHL Player of the
Week for Nov. 17-23.
It is the second time that he has received the league honor having won it
on Nov.
7, 2006.
Baker had six points in two games to help Florida extend its winning streak
to eight games and move into first place in the South Division.
He scored the game-winning goal in a 2-1 victory at Augusta on Friday and
then had a career-high five points while tying his career best with three
goals in a 12-0 win at Augusta on Saturday.
Baker leads the Everblades and the ECHL with seven power-play goals while
his 12 goals and 23 points in 14 games are tops on the team and third in
the league.
The 29 year old had 56 points (29g-27a) in 44 regular season games and
seven points (5-2a) in nine Kelly Cup Playoff games for Texas in 2007-08
after beginning the season in Germany where he had 16 points (8g-8a) in 23
games for Schwenningen.
He was selected as a starter for the 2007
ECHL All-Star Game and was named First
Team All-ECHL in 2006-07 after finishing tied for fifth in the league
with 81 points (36g-45a) in 62 games.

Baker, a case of pucks will be donated to the Junior Everblades youth
hockey organization by In Glas Co, the exclusive puck
supplier of the ECHL. Since beginning its sponsorship of the award in
2000-01, In Glas
Co has donated more than 20,000 pucks to youth hockey organizations
in ECHL cities.
