Carlson called up to AHL's Rivermen

ESTERO, FL - Florida Everblades president and general manager Craig Brush along with head coach Malcolm Cameron announced that forward Ross Carlson has been called up to the Peoria Rivermen of the American Hockey League.

Carlson ranks second on the Everblades in scoring with 15 points (7g, 8a) as he heads to Peoria. The 26-year-old also leads the Everblades in plus/minus rating with a plus-11 mark. Earlier this season, Carlson set a personal career-high with a seven-game point scoring streak from Oct. 24 - Nov. 8. The Duluth, Minnesota native heads to the AHL currently riding a four-game point scoring streak (4g, 2a).

The call-up to the AHL is the fourth for Carlson during his three-year career having also skated with Providence (2006-07), Rockford (2007-08) and Houston (2007-08) for a combined six points in 23 games.

The Everblades return to action on Friday, November 28 when they travel to Reading to take on the Royals from the Sovereign Center at 7:05 p.m.! The Everblades' next home game is Friday, December 12 when they host the South Carolina Stingrays at 7:30 p.m.
