RedHawks Win Sixth Game in a Row, 6-2

Oklahoma City - The Oklahoma City RedHawks hit a season-high five doubles in a 6-2 win against the Nashville Sounds Wednesday in front of a crowd of 2,926 at Chickasaw Bricktown Ballpark.

The RedHawks (16-10) won a sixth-straight game, holding Nashville (7-17) to three hits.

Oklahoma City pitcher Wes Musick (2-0) pitched six innings, allowing two hits, one run and striking out four in the win.

Oklahoma City leads the PCL American Southern Division and took a 5-1 lead in the season series with Nashville.

Trevor Crowe, Jake Elmore, Brett Wallace and Andy Simunic each had two hits for the RedHawks. Wallace led with a game-high two RBI.

The RedHawks hit four of their five doubles in the third inning as they took a 4-0 lead on six hits. Che-Hsuan Lin doubled on a line drive to left field to score Simunic. Carlos Perez, who joined the RedHawks Wednesday from Double-A Corpus Christi, doubled to score Lin. Elmore and Wallace added RBI doubles as well.

Nashville's Stephen Parker homered to right field in the fourth inning for the Sounds' first run of the night.

Oklahoma City then added two more runs in the fifth for a 6-1 lead. Wallace singled to score Marc Krauss, and Jonathan Villar doubled to score Wallace.

Sean Halton hit a RBI double in the top of the ninth inning for Nashville, which lost for the fourth game in a row. Sounds pitcher Tyler Thornburg (0-3) allowed four runs on eight hits in the loss.

The RedHawks' eight-game homestand concludes with a 7:05 p.m. game Thursday against Nashville. Thursday is $1 Beer Night at Chickasaw Bricktown Ballpark.
