In a battle of two starting pitchers making their Triple-A debut, James Gillheeney came out on the winning end in the Tacoma Rainiers 4-0 win over the Tucson Padres Tuesday at Cheney Stadium.

The Rainiers took a 1-0 lead in the first inning when Eric Thames hit into a double play and scored Nate Tenbrink from third base. Carlos Truinfel brought around two runs in the seventh with a single up the middle to extend the Rainiers lead to 3-0. The Rainiers scored once more in the inning when Thames walked with the bases loaded. Tucson loaded the bases with two outs in the ninth but Danny Farquhar got Gregorio Petit to line out to center field to end the game.
