FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE May 1, 2013

NEW ORLEANS, La. - The Omaha Storm Chasers game at Zephyr Field today, the third game of the series against the New Orleans Zephyrs, has officially been suspended. The game will be resumed when the Storm Chasers travel to New Orleans later this month on Saturday, May 25.

The two teams will resume the suspended game and play to the full nine innings starting at 4:00 p.m. on May 25, then play a seven-inning game following the completion of the suspended game (the scheduled second game of the final trip to New Orleans). The suspended game will resume in the bottom of the first inning with a 2-2 count, no outs, no player on base and New Orleans centerfielder Gorkys Hernandez at the plate.

The Chasers and the Zephyrs will finish the series in New Orleans tomorrow with first pitch scheduled for 7:00 p.m. CDT. New Orleans will send out left-hander Brian Flynn (0-1, 6.75 ERA) against a yet to be announced Storm Chasers starter. Coverage of the game on 1180 Zone 2 The Duece and www.omahastormchasers.com will begin at 6:40 p.m. CDT.
