
Redhawks Squeeze Out 5-4 Win Over Explorers

Sioux City-----Ronnie Bourquin led off the ninth inning with his seventh home run of the season as Fargo-Moorhead squeezed out a 5-4 victory over the Explorers at Lewis and Clark Park Saturday.
It was the third one-run game in this series and the fifth game in seven this season between the two teams that was decided by one run.
The Explorers took a 2-0 lead in the first inning with one run scoring on a wild pitch and the second run on a RBI double by Luke Murton. One of three hits that Murton had in the contest.
With the Explorers leading 3-2 going into the fifth inning, Fargo-Moorhead would take the lead 4-3 on a solo home run by Buddy Sosnoskie and a RBI single by Nic Jackson.
Sioux City would tie the game in the bottom of the fifth on a two-out RBI single by Yusuke Inoguchi.
The contest remained tied until the Bourquin home run to lead off the ninth off losing pitcher Jimmer Kennedy.
Both teams had several opportunities to break the game open throughout the contest as the Explorers stranded 12 runners and the RedHawks left 11 runners on base.
The final game of the four-game series will be played Sunday at Lewis and Clark Park with game time set for 6:05pm.
