
RedHawks Sign Wagle, Release Cox

FARGO, N.D. - The Fargo-Moorhead RedHawks signed OF John Wagle prior to Monday night's game against the Wichita Wingnuts and released OF Jay Cox. Wagle batted lead-off and was 0-for-2 with a pair of walks in the RedHawks 8-1 loss.
Wagle, 24, had been playing with the Joliet Slammers of the Frontier League this season. In 2010, he batted .326 with 13 doubles, two triples, two home runs, 15 RBI and 28 runs scored in 51 games for the Rockford RiverHawks of the Northern League. Wagle also played in 21 games for the San Angelo (TX) Colts of the United League in 2010, batting .256 with two doubles, three triples, nine RBI and 16 runs scored.
Cox batted .150 with a double and three runs scored in 11 games with the RedHawks this season.
