Game Keys - The Oklahoma RedHawks ripped three home runs and defeated the Zephyrs 8-5 on Thursday night at Bricktown Ballpark. The Zephyrs were swept in the series and fall to 7.5 games back of the first place RedHawks. Oklahoma City struck early with a Chris Davis two run home run in the first inning. New Orleans rallied in the third inning with a two run double for Danny Richar to give the Z's the lead. Oklahoma City shortstop Gregorio Petit ripped a base clearing double in the fourth inning to score three runs off of reliever Burke Badenhop. Ryan Garko drilled a two run homer to give the RedHawks the lead for good in the fifth inning. Willie Eyre earned the win in relief and Dan Meyer suffers the loss. Logan Morrison did have a home run for the Zephyrs in the loss.
Game Notes - The Z's will add pitcher Chris Leroux from the Marlins on Friday. Cameron Maybin was optioned by the Marlins and will join the Zephyrs in a few days. The Zephyrs were swept in a series for the third time this season.
Coming Up: The Zephyrs open a four game set in Memphis on Friday. The Zephyrs will send RH Brian Lawrence (4-5, 4.59) to face Redbirds LH Ryan Kulik (1-1, 6.63) RADIO WMTI 106.1 FM
