TODAY'S OPPONENT:

The Sacramento River Cats are the Triple-A affiliate of the Oakland A's. Last season, the River Cats finished second in the Pacific South with a 78-66 record.

VS. SACRAMENTO:

The two teams split a 4-game series last season at AT&T Bricktown Ballpark. The RedHawks hit .265 with six homers, and RedHawk pitchers had a 4.25 ERA in the series.

TODAY'S GAME:

This is game 115 of the season, and the third of 4 meetings between Oklahoma and Sacramento this season.

ROSTER MOVES:

Kevin West was placed on the DL yesterday.

LAST GAME:

The RedHawks lost their second straight game to the River Cats, losing 5-2 last night. The Hawks grabbed a 1-0 lead in the top of the first when Nate Gold's single brought in Tug Hulett. The River Cats tied the game at one, with a Jason Perry solo shot in the bottom of the first. After a single and a double to lead off the third inning, Gold picked up his second RBI of the game, bringing Hulett home on a sacrifice fly. Jeremy Brown's solo homer in the fourth tied the game at two for the River Cats. The Cats took control of the game with two runs on three doubles and a walk off reliever Derek Lee in the fifth inning. Sacramento added another insurance run in the seventh to make the score 5-2. Starter Alfredo Simon didn't figure in the decision, allowing two runs on four hits in four innings. Lee took the loss, throwing a total of two innings of relief.

PITCHING MATCHUP: Robinson Tejeda

gets the ball for the third time this season as a RedHawk. He lost his last start Thursday at Fresno, allowing four runs on nine hits in 5.2 innings. Last season, Tejeda allowed a hit in two innings in a start for the RedHawks May 11 against the River Cats. Dan Meyer will start for the Cats. Last season, Meyer lost to the RedHawks May 12 at The Brick, allowing five runs on nine hits in four innings.

REDHAWKS ON THE ROAD:

The RedHawks fell to 14-6 in their last 20 road games. The Hawks are hitting .290 with 26 homers in the last 20 road games. They have outscored their opponents 124-75 during that time. The pitching staff has a 3.31 ERA in that stretch.

GOT HITS, NEED RUNS:

For the second straight game, the RedHawks lost while outhitting the River Cats.The Hawks lost for ninth time this season (49-9) when they outhit their opponent. The RedHawks have 15 hits compared to 12 for the River Cats through two games, but the Hawks are just 1-for-12 with runners in scoring position in the series.

STILL CLIMBING:

Hulett has hit safely in 32 of his last 36 games after going 3-for-5 with a double last night. He's hitting .351 with three homers and 17 RBIs over that stretch. Hulett has seen his average go from .238 to .280 during that time.

DIAZ SWINGING HOT BAT: Victor Diaz

rides an 9-game hitting streak into tonight's game. He is hitting .367 (29-79) with six homers and 23 RBIs over his last 19 games after going 2-for-5 with a double last night. Diaz has reached base safely in 13 of his last 14 games.

LEAGUE LEADERS:

Freddy Guzman leads the league with 41 stolen bases. Hulett is fourth with 81 runs scored.

DOT-DOT-DOT:

The RedHawks are 7-8 on Tuesday this season, and they're 17-21 against lefties...the RedHawks have at least one extra-base hit nine straight games... the Hawks have allowed the opposing team to score first in 11 of the last 14 games...Hulett has reached base safely in 21 straight road games... Francisco Cruceta and Lee combined to allow three earned runs in four innings of relief last night. That's one more earned run than the bullpen had allowed in the previous 27.2 innings before last nights game.
