Last Game: Colorado Springs built a six-run lead through five innings and was able to withstand a late rally by the RedHawks before winning 9-7 at Security Service Field Tuesday. For the first time in seven games, the RedHawks scored first, taking a 1-0 lead in the first after Marc Krauss drew a walk and Matt Duffy followed with a triple. The Sky Sox began the second inning with four straight hits, and each runner eventually scored to make it 4-1. The RedHawks cut into the lead in the fourth when Carlos Perez produced a RBI infield single to make it 4-2. However, the Sky Sox would answer with a pair of runs in the bottom of the inning, then extended the lead to 8-2 in the fifth. The RedHawks loaded the bases in the seventh with nobody out. Robbie Grossman was hit by a pitch to score the inning's first run. Austin Wates and Preston Tucker later drew bases-loaded walks to cut the deficit to three. The RedHawks continued their rally in the eighth. An error by Drew Garcia allowed a run to score, and Grossman followed with a RBI single to make it a one-run game. The RedHawks had runners at second and third with none one out, but Sky Sox reliever Chris Martin struck out both Krauss and Duffy to end the threat. The Sky Sox added one last run in the eighth with a RBI double by rehabbing Rockies third baseman Nolan Arenado.
