
Redbirds Celebrate Independence Day at Home with Fireworks

MEMPHIS, Tenn. - The Memphis Redbirds will return to AutoZone Park on July 4 for a seven-game homestand against the division-rival New Orleans Zephyrs (Triple-A Marlins) and Nashville Sounds (Triple-A Brewers). The Independence Day weekend series will be headlined by two fireworks shows and a Redbirds-themed rally towel giveaway.
Friday, July 4 vs. New Orleans Zephyrs at 6:05 p.m. (gates open at 4:00 p.m.)
- Red, White, and BOOM Fireworks: Celebrate Independence Day with America's pastime and a patriotic fireworks display following the game, presented by FedEx.
- Rally Towel Giveaway: The Redbirds are giving 1,000 fans the chance to cheer with a red rally towel giveaway.
- Independence Day Weekend Buffet Package: Celebrate Independence Day weekend with a great package that includes a ticket to the game, all-you-can-eat dinner buffet, and postgame fireworks.
- Coors Light Block Party: Gates will open early for a Block Party featuring 16 oz. Coors Lights for $2 and live music from 4:00-6:00 p.m. in the AutoZone Park plaza.
- Baby Races: The fastest babies in town will be on display in the fourth of five races at AutoZone Park this season, presented by Fertility Associates of Memphis.
Saturday, July 5 vs. New Orleans Zephyrs at 6:05 p.m. (gates open at 5:00 p.m.)
- Salute to Armed Forces Night : Join us as we honor those who have served our country and made the ultimate sacrifice for our freedom.
- Post-Game Fireworks: Stick around following the conclusion of the game for a special fireworks show set to Classic Rock music.
- Independence Day Weekend Buffet Package: Celebrate Independence Day weekend with a great package that includes a ticket to the game, all-you-can-eat dinner buffet, and postgame fireworks.
- Signature Saturday: Select Redbirds players will be made available before the game in the AutoZone Park Plaza to sign autographs.
Sunday, July 6 vs. New Orleans Zephyrs at 6:05 p.m. (gates open at 5:00 p.m.)
- Kids Run the Bases: All kids 12 and under have the opportunity to run the bases at AutoZone Park following the game.
Monday, July 7 vs. Nashville Sounds at 7:05 p.m. (gates open at 6:00 p.m.)
- Series Opener: Support the Redbirds as they welcome their cross-state rival to AutoZone Park for the final time during the 2014 season.
Tuesday, July 8 vs. Nashville Sounds at 7:02 p.m. (gates open at 6:00 p.m.)
- TWOsday: Tuesdays are now "TWO"-sdays at AutoZone Park featuring $2 hot dogs, popcorn, soft drinks, special in-game giveaways, and $2 off Bud Lights.
Wednesday, July 9 vs. Nashville Sounds at 7:05 p.m. (gates open at 6:00 p.m.)
- Memphis and Nashville will clash in the third game of the Tennessee Education Lottery I-40 series.
Thursday, July 10 vs. Nashville Sounds at 12:05 p.m. (gates open at 11:00 a.m.)
- Summer Camp Day: A number of different summer camps from around the area will be enjoying this matinee game and so should you. Take an extended lunch break and come on down to AutoZone Park.
- Michelob Ultra Patio Package: Fans can purchase the Michelob Ultra Patio Package that includes a 16 oz. Michelob Ultra and a Field Box ticket. Michelob Ultras will also be available for $3 above section 123 on the concourse in right field throughout the game. (Note: Must be 21 or older to purchase. We I.D.)
At the homestand's conclusion, Memphis will visit New Orleans for three games before the Triple-A All-Star Break takes place. The "ËBirds will be back at AutoZone Park for an eight-game homestand against the Colorado Springs Sky Sox (Triple-A Rockies) and Omaha Storm Chasers (Triple-A Royals) beginning on Thursday, July 17.
