Redbirds, Storm Chasers Suspended Saturday Night

MEMPHIS, Tennessee - The Memphis Redbirds and Omaha Storm Chasers were suspended due to rain Saturday night with the score tied at 3 heading into the top of the eighth inning.

Saturday's game is scheduled to resume tomorrow at 2:05 p.m., with Sunday's regularly-scheduled nine-inning game following 30 minutes after the completion of the suspended game. Fans who have a ticket to Sunday's game can see both the completion of the suspended game and Sunday's regularly-scheduled game.

Since tonight's game was not completed, fans who had a ticket are able to exchange it at the AutoZone Park Box Office for a future game, with some restrictions applying. More information can be found at www.memphisredbirds.com.

Memphis led 3-0 until Omaha tied it up with three runs in the top of the seventh inning. Redbirds starting pitcher Ryan Helsley tossed 4.0 no-hit innings with three strikeouts, and Adolis Garcia had an RBI triple in the first with Ramon Urias adding a two-run double in the third to account for Memphis' scoring.

After Sunday's action, the Redbirds and Storm Chasers finish their series Monday morning at 11:05 a.m., before the Redbirds hit the road for seven games.
