ALBUQUERQUE, NM - The Albuquerque Isotopes scored three runs in the first inning and held on to beat the Bees 7-4 on Friday night. Two first inning errors led to three runs for Albuquerque in the opening frame. The Bees would cut the deficit to one run twice, scoring three runs of their own on four singles, a walk and a sacrifice fly in the fourth to make it 4-3 and again in the sixth on a Taylor Ward RBI single to make 5-4. A two-run homer from Colorado Rockies top prospect Brendan Rodgers gave the Isotopes the final margin of victory in the eighth.

Ty Kelly and Jose Rojas both made their 2019 debuts with multiple-hit games. Kelly finished 3-for-3 while driving in a run and scoring another while Rojas was 2-for-4 at the plate with a run scored.
