Today's Game: The Oklahoma City Dodgers and San Antonio Missions meet for the third time in their five-game series at 7:05 p.m. at Chickasaw Bricktown Ballpark. The season-opening series is tied, 1-1.

Last Game: Pinch-hitter Paulo Orlando lined a go-ahead RBI triple into the right field corner in the eighth inning to break a tie and pitcher Stetson Allie retired all three batters he faced in the ninth inning to send the Dodgers to a 4-3 win against San Antonio Friday night at Chickasaw Bricktown Ballpark. The Dodgers had taken their first lead of the season in the previous inning when infielder Jake Peter connected on a two-run homer out to center field. Peter, who celebrated his 26th birthday Friday, put the Dodgers in front, 3-2, with his first homer of 2019. But San Antonio tied the game, 3-3, in the eighth inning on a RBI double by Tyrone Taylor before the Dodgers answered in the bottom of the frame. Outfielder Ezequiel Carrera reached on a fielder's choice before Orlando put OKC back in front with his RBI triple. The Missions took the game's first lead in the third inning when Tyler Saladino hit his second double of the night to bring home a run for a 1-0 Missions lead. With two outs in the bottom of the fourth, Carrera lined a single into right field then came around to score when Angelo Mora followed with a double to knot the game, 1-1. A RBI single by Corey Ray put the Missions back in front, 2-1, in the fifth inning. The Dodgers loaded the bases in the bottom of the sixth inning, but Donnie Hart -- who was recently acquired off waivers from the Dodgers -- got Carrera to strike out and Mora to line out to escape the jam. Dodgers starting pitcher Daniel Corcino racked up seven strikeouts over 5.0 innings in his season debut, allowing two runs on four hits with one walk. He led the charge as Dodgers pitchers totaled 12 strikeouts in the win. Smoker (1-0) pitched one-third of the eighth inning to secure the win before Allie retired the side in order in the ninth for his first save of 2019. Missions pitcher Miguel Sanchez (0-1) was charged with the loss.

Against the Missions: 2019: 1-1 2018: N/A All-time: 1-1 At OKC: 1-1

The San Antonio Missions won their PCL debut Thursday in OKC after joining the league for 2019 as the Milwaukee Brewers' Triple-A affiliate following the relocation of the Colorado Springs Sky Sox franchise. The Missions previously played in the Double-A Texas League most recently from 1968-2018 and served as a San Diego Padres affiliate from 2007-2018...The Dodgers went 9-7 against Colorado Springs in 2018, closing out the regular season with four straight victories in elimination games to pass the Sky Sox in the standings to win the American Northern Division title...Infielder Jake Peter led the Dodgers with 20 hits and 13 runs scored against the Sky Sox last season, batting .392 over 16 games.

On Strike: The Oklahoma City Dodgers pitching staff has a league-leading 26 strikeouts through the first two games of 2019. The Dodgers racked up 12 strikeouts last night, led by starting pitcher Daniel Corcino's seven K's. Corcino finished second among Dodgers pitchers in 2018 with 102 strikeouts. In Thursday's season opener, Dodgers pitchers whiffed 14 Missions batters, led by rehabbing Los Angeles Dodgers pitcher Clayton Kershaw's six strikeouts. Reliever Josh Sborz had five K's. Thursday's strikeout total was OKC's highest in the first game of the season that was a nine-inning game. The RedHawks notched 17 strikeouts on April 3, 2014 at Round Rock, and although the game went 11 innings, it should be noted the OKC pitching staff had 15 K's through nine innings that night.

Extra Bags: Half of the Dodgers' first 16 hits of the season have gone for extra bases, including five doubles, one triple and two homers by seven different players. The Dodgers have homered in each of their first two games of 2019, with outfielder Kyle Garlick hitting one out of the park Thursday night and infielder Jake Peter following with a dinger Friday night. Both of catcher Will Smith's first two hits of the season have gone for extra bases as he has doubled in each of his first two games.

Roster Rundown: Among the 25 players on the OKC Dodgers' Opening Day Roster, 13 have Major League experience, 11 appeared in the Majors last season and 14 logged time with OKC in 2018. Six players on the preliminary roster are ranked by Baseball America among the top 30 prospects in the Dodgers organization, including three of the top eight and four of the top 11: catcher Will Smith (#5), pitcher Dennis Santana (#7), pitcher Tony Gonsolin (#8), infielder Edwin Ríos (#11), pitcher Josh Sborz (#22) and infielder Matt Beaty (#23). Smith, Ríos, Sborz and Beaty each spent time with OKC last season, and 22 of the 25 have played at the Triple-A level at some point in their careers.

Leading the Charge: The 2019 season marks Travis Barbary's first as manager of the OKC Dodgers. He is the 33rd manager in OKC's 58-year history as a Triple-A franchise. The 47-year-old from Greenville, S.C., most recently worked as the Los Angeles Dodgers catching coordinator the last 12 seasons. Prior to that role, he managed Low-A Columbus (Ga.) from 2005-06 and Rookie-level Ogden from 2003-04.

Offseason Evolution: The Dodgers are stepping out on a new playing surface after a complete field renovation at Chickasaw Bricktown Ballpark took place during the offseason, installing new irrigation, drainage, a water reclamation system and turf. New "instant-on" LED field lights were also added to improve clarity for players and fans, while reducing energy consumption. Also, a new hospitality space at the top of Section 115 called the Baseline Patio was added. In total, more than $2.5 million in improvements were made at the ballpark.

Around the Horn: The Dodgers went 15-9 in Saturday games last season, including 8-3 at Chickasaw Bricktown Ballpark...Infielder Daniel Castro picked up two hits Friday and leads OKC with three hits. He also recorded OKC's first stolen base of 2019 Friday.
