Redbirds rally for win over River Cats

WEST SACRAMENTO, Calif. -- The Sacramento River Cats (26-20) lost 9-8 to the Memphis Redbirds (20-24) and had their three-game winning streak snapped on Tuesday at Raley Field.

Memphis scored eight runs in the final four innings en route to the win, after Sacramento had jumped out to a 7-1 lead with three runs in the second and four runs in the fourth inning. RHP Eric Cammack (1-2) took the loss for the River Cats. RHP Josh Pearce (1-1) earned the win in relief for the Redbirds. CF Nick Swisher led the River Cats' offense with three hits.

The River Cats and Redbirds will play the third game of their four-game series on Wednesday (7:05 pm) at Raley Field.
