Sacramento River Cats News Release

SACRAMENTO RIVER CATS

-Buddy Kennedy reached base all five times up to the plate. His four hits were the most by a Sacramento player of the season, recording 12 total bases. Kennedy is the second player in the PCL to reach base five times, the first being Hye-Seong Kim of Oklahoma City.

- The River Cats jumped on Salt Lake's starter Mitch Farris, forcing him out of the game after just 2.2 innings. Will Brennan started the game's scoring with a lined single and was then brought in on a Buddy Kennedy double. It put the River Cats up 2-0 in the third.

SALT LAKE BEES

- It was a home run party as the Bees hit three round trips. Niko Kavadas and Jose Siri hit back-to-back no-doubt home runs to start the festivities in the fourth. Denzer Guzman hit his second homer of the year in the seventh that would give Salt Lake their first lead of the game. The last time that feat happened was September 17, 2025, @ Las Vegas.

-The Salt Lake Bees batted through the order in both the seventh and eighth innings, sending 21 hitters to the plate and scoring 10 runs. Every Salt Lake batter reached base, with four recording multi-hit games - the first time that's happened since September 17, 2025, at Las Vegas.
