Today's Game: The Oklahoma City Comets seek a fourth consecutive win when they continue their road series against the Las Vegas Aviators at 1:05 p.m. CT at Las Vegas Ballpark...The Comets have scored exactly 13 runs in each of the last three games after opening the 2026 season with a 3-1 loss Friday night in Oklahoma City.
Last Game: The Oklahoma City Comets continued to dominate offensively in a 13-8 series-opening win over the Las Vegas Aviators Tuesday night at Las Vegas Ballpark. The Comets' bats started on fire from the jump as Zach Ehrhard drove home Hyeseong Kim with an RBI double in the first inning. The Aviators tied the game in the bottom half of the first on a solo shot from Zack Gelof. The Comets took the lead back in the third inning on a Nick Senzel RBI single. James Tibbs III put his stamp on the game in the fifth inning with a solo homer to extend Oklahoma City's lead to 3-1. The Aviators scored a pair of runs in the bottom of the fifth to even the score at 3-3. The Comets responded with a seven-run sixth inning. Ehrhard put the Comets back in front with a RBI single, and two batters later, Fitzgerald notched a two-run single. Senzel broke the game open with a grand slam to put the Comets ahead, 10-3. The Comets put three more runs on the board in the seventh inning on singles from Fitzgerald and Senzel to boost the lead to 13-3. The Aviators combined to score five runs between the eighth and ninth innings before the Comets closed out the game.
Today's Probable Pitcher: Carlos Duran is slated to open a bullpen game for the Comets...Duran made his season debut Sunday against Albuquerque at Chickasaw Bricktown Ballpark, allowing one run and one hit with two walks and one strikeout over two-thirds of an inning...He also started the 2025 season on Oklahoma City's roster before being traded to the Athletics April 2...He spent most of the 2025 season with Triple-A Las Vegas, going 4-0 with a 5.25 ERA, 1.73 WHIP, .234 BAA and one save in 37 outings (one start)...He had his contract selected by the Athletics April 30 and had two stints on the roster (April 30-May 2 and May 22-23), making his lone MLB appearance in his debut May 22 vs. Los Angeles (AL)...Duran originally signed with the Dodgers March 8, 2018 as an international free agent out of the Dominican Republic...Last season, OKC went 9-8 in bullpen games.

Las Vegas won the 2025 PCL Championship, winning the league's first half title before sweeping second-half champion Tacoma, 2-0, in the PCL Championship Series, marking the franchise's first league title since 1988...The Comets won the 2025 season series against the Aviators, 8-4, and with last night's victory have won five of the last six meetings and seven of the last nine games between the teams...Ryan Ward paced OKC with 22 hits and 21 RBI along with seven homers in 12 games against Las Vegas last season...The Aviators led the Minors in runs (978), hits (1,519) and AVG (.288) last season...The Comets have won three straight season series against Las Vegas, and going back to the 2023 season, OKC is 19-6 over the last 25 games at Las Vegas Ballpark.
Offensive Line: Oklahoma City scored 13 runs in a third consecutive game Tuesday and set a season-high mark with 18 hits. OKC has a combined 39 runs on 48 hits over the last three games. This is the first time during the team's Bricktown era (since 1998) that an OKC team has scored 13 or more runs in three consecutive games...OKC's 40 runs and 53 hits through four games are the most in Triple-A to start the season...The Comets added five more extra-base hits Tuesday and their 19 total extra-base hits to start 2026 are the most in Triple-A, while the team's .358 AVG, .588 SLG and 1.046 OPS also pace all 30 Triple-A teams...The seven runs scored by the Comets in the sixth inning set a season high for runs in an inning.
Senzational: Nick Senzel set a career high Tuesday with seven RBI and became the first OKC player with seven RBI in a game since Justin Yurchak accomplished the feat June 11, 2023 at El Paso. Senzel's previous career high was five, a mark he'd set twice and most recently May 16, 2025 with Oklahoma City at Round Rock...Senzel collected three hits and connected on a sixth-inning grand slam Tuesday night, as he hit Oklahoma City's first grand slam of the season for a second consecutive year. It was also the first grand slam for Oklahoma City since James Outman June 28, 2025 at Sacramento.
The Third Degree: James Tibbs III hit his third home run in the past two games and finished last night's game 2-for-5 with the home run and a double. Tibbs has hit safely in each of his first four games with OKC, including a two-homer performance Sunday, and over his last three games, is 9-for-14 with eight extra-base hits and nine RBI...His 10 total hits to start 2026 are the most by a PCL player, including a league-best eight extra-base hits. His 1.389 SLG, 1.989 OPS and 25 total bases are best in the PCL, while his .556 AVG, four doubles and eight runs are tied for most in the league...He is the first Comets player of the season to homer in consecutive games.
Fitz Blitz: Finishing 4-for-6 with three RBI, Ryan Fitzgerald recorded his third consecutive game with multiple hits and RBI Tuesday night. During the three-game stretch, Fitzgerald is 9-for-15 with 12 RBI...Fitzgerald matched his career-high of four hits, doing so for the sixth time in his career and for the first time since May 14, 2025 with Triple-A St. Paul at Iowa...On Saturday, he finished with a career-high six RBI and his 12 total RBI to start the season lead the PCL.
High Road: The Comets look for a second straight road win today after finishing with the best road record in the PCL last season at 45-30. The 2025 season marked the fifth straight that OKC finished with a winning road record and third straight with at least 40 wins in away games. Only one other season during the Bricktown era (since 1998) had OKC recorded at least 45 road wins in a season, going 48-27 on the road in 2023...2025 Triple-A National Champion Jacksonville went 45-31 on the road last season and only High-A Greensboro (46) finished with more road wins across the Minors in 2025.
Zach on Track: Zach Ehrhard collected his first four-hit game at the Triple-A level last night, finishing 4-for-6 with a double and two RBI. Ehrhard has at least one hit and RBI in both of his games played to start the year...He last had four or more hits in a game May 14, 2025 when he posted a career-high five hits with High-A Greenville (BOS) vs. Hub City.
Against the Clock: Tuesday's series opener was played in 4 hours, 1 minute for the longest nine-inning game for an Oklahoma City team since the 2021 season when OKC defeated Las Vegas, 13-4, Sept. 24, 2021 in Las Vegas in 4 hours, 3 minutes, before the current pace of play rules were instituted during the 2022 season...OKC's longest game time last season was 3 hours, 40 minutes, matched twice July 2 in Las Vegas (10 innings) and April 3 against El Paso (11 innings) at Chickasaw Bricktown Ballpark...Tuesday's game included and astounding 468 pitches, 20 total walks, 30 runners left on base and seven mid-inning pitching changes. Fifteen of the 18 half-innings included a minimum of 16 pitches, and 12 half-innings featured at least 21 pitches.
Rise and Shine: Today marks OKC's first field trip/mid-week day game of the season. Last year, the Comets thrived in these games, going an incredible 9-1...Beginning today, the Comets will play a mid-week day game beginning at 11:05 a.m. or 12:05 p.m. for four straight weeks and in six of seven weeks.
Roster Rundown: OKC's roster features five players ranked among the Dodgers' top 30 prospects per Baseball America: Zach Ehrhard (No. 21), Kyle Hurt (No. 22), Noah Miller (No. 23), James Tibbs III (No. 26) and Ronan Kopp (No. 28)...The roster also includes six players currently on the Dodgers 40-man roster: Paul Gervase, Hurt, Hyeseong Kim, Kopp, Michael Siani and Ryan Ward. Seventeen players on the roster boast MLB experience while 12 were a member of the 2025 OKC squad.
Around the Horn: Eliezer Alfonzo recorded three hits Tuesday and has five hits through his first two games with the Comets. He recorded a season-high three hits three times last season with Double-A Erie...OKC went 6-for-17 with runners in scoring position last night and is batting .319 (15-for-47) with RISP over the last three games.
