WEEK IN REVIEW

Tuesday, February 28 SAN DIEGO 2 vs. Stockton 1

The Thunder fell victim to San Diego Gulls goaltender Tom Lawson's in-net theatrics, in a 2-1 loss to the Gulls at Stockton Arena. Joel Irwin collected a first period power-play goal for Stockton, before Lawson's game heated up with 34 saves and 28 stops in the last two periods. Jesse Bennefield tied the game with 1:03 to go in the first period, followed by Rob Flynn's game-winning marker early in the second period. Jake Moreland paced the Thunder defensive efforts with 37 saves.

Saturday, March 4 STOCKTON 5 vs. Dayton 2

The Thunder shredded a 15-game winless skid and gained its first home regulation win since December 10 in a 5-2 victory over the Bombers at Stockton Arena. The Thunder attained a season-high for goals in one game, headlined by Maris Ziedins and Ned Havern pitching in with two goals apiece for Stockton. Ziedins picked up a three-point game in his second game back since the Olympic break. Aaron Foster, formerly with the Bombers, picked up Stockton's other goal. Thunder goaltender Jake Moreland collected 38 saves, while Tyson Teplitsky and Paul Kelly posted Dayton's goals.

Sunday, March 5 STOCKTON 4 vs. Dayton 2

The Thunder claimed its first winning streak in team history with a 4-2 victory over the Bombers on Sunday at Stockton Arena. Mike Lalonde led the Stockton offense with two goals, including a marker 15 seconds into the game, the quickest goal to start a game in Thunder history. Maris Ziedins collected a goal and assist, while Nathan Marz claimed the game-winning goal in the second period. Jake Moreland stopped 51 shots in net for the Thunder, who finished the four-game season series with Dayton at a favorable 3-1-0 clip.
