Monych Re-assigned To Thunder

STOCKTON, Calif. - The Stockton Thunder has announced right wing Lance Monych has been re-assigned to the Thunder from the San Antonio Rampage of the American Hockey League.

Monych, 21, compiled eight points (5g-3a) in eight games with the Thunder in 2005-06 prior to his promotion to the Rampage on March 3, including a current six-game point-scoring streak. A native of Winnipeg, Manitoba, Monych was selected in the fourth round of the 2002 National Hockey League entry draft by the Phoenix Coyotes.

Monych has appeared in 37 games with the Rampage, including a three-game stint with the Laredo Bucks of the Central Hockey League during 2005-06, notching four goals.

Monych is slated to return to the Thunder lineup for tonight's game against the Phoenix RoadRunners.

The Thunder returns to play with an eight-game road trip, beginning Tuesday night with a 6 p.m. PT faceoff against Phoenix at U.S. Airways Center.
