San Diego Gulls News Release
SAN DIEGO - The San Diego Gulls and SeaWorld have teamed up to celebrate "Kids Night" at the Gulls game this Sunday as San Diego takes on the Fresno Falcons at 5:05 p.m. The first 2000 kids (12 and under) in attendance will receive a special SeaWorld/Gulls lunch box and as always everyone is invited to skate with the Gulls after the game.
The night will be filled with special visits from SeaWorld guests. SeaWorld entertainer Lindsay Sablan will sing the National Anthem and Lester, the dog star of SeaWorld's Pets Rule animal show, will drop the ceremonial puck.
During intermission, fans will have the chance to meet some of the animals and trainers from the Pets Rule show on the North Concourse. Pets Rule is one of the largest shows in the country to feature mostly-sheltered adopted animals. SeaWorld encourages everyone to visit their local shelter before adopting a new pet.
Baby Gull will be joined by special costume characters from SeaWorld, who will mingle with guests throughout the game.
Leaders in conservation and education SeaWorld, Busch Gardens and Discovery Cove care for the largest animal collection in the world and offer an education Web site especially for students and teachers at www.seaworld.org. Information on the SeaWorld & Busch Gardens Conservation Fund is at www.swbg-conservationfund.org. General park information is found at www.seaworld.com.
The Gulls close out their four-game homestand Wednesday, as the Dayton Bombers make their first-ever trip to San Diego. Game-time is set for 7:05 p.m. San Diego will play in Fresno Friday and Long Beach Saturday before hosting Fresno Sunday. All games can be heard on KLSD 1360AM and www.sandiegogulls.com with Chris Ello calling the play-by-play. Most games can also be viewed on the Gulls' web site, courtesy of B2 Networks.
