
Rebels with 2-1 Win over Regina

Red Deer Rebels News Release
The Pats, who have called Red Deer home for the past week, returned to the Enmax Centrium Friday night following their 3-2 win here on Tuesday. The Rebels, meantime, sought their third straight win, having downed Kootenay and Medicine Hat following Tueday's loss to Regina.
FIRST PERIOD
After coming up empty on three powerplays, despite numerous great scoring chances, the Rebels opened the scoring while shorthanded. Jeff de Wit was stopped by Tyler Brown on a breakaway but he found the rebound and found the back of the net for his 4th goal of the year at 16:09. The Rebels lead 1-0 through 20 minutes.
SECOND PERIOD
A fortuitous bounce played a big role in the second Rebels goal of the game. Tyler Brown made a great save on a shot from in close by Conner Bleackley but the rebound went off of Pats defender Sergey Zborovskiy and into the Regina net. Bleackley was given credit for his 5th goal of the season, a powerplay marker at 5:42 of the middle frame.
THIRD PERIOD
The Pats killed off numerous Rebels powerplays before scoring a powerplay marker of their own to make things interesting. Lane Z

However, that's a close as the Pats would get. The Rebels ground out the final few minutes to hold on for a 2-1 win.
