Kamloops, BC - The Kamloops Blazers have traded 18-year-old forward Jesse Zaharichuk to the Kootenay Ice in exchange for a fifth round draft pick in the 2018 WHL Bantam Draft.

Zaharichuk, who stands at 5'8" and 155lbs, played 65 games with the Blazers over two seasons and collected seven goals and 28 points.

"We'd like to thank Jesse for his time with the Blazers and wish him the best with the Kootenay Ice," commented General Manager, Stu MacGregor.

With the move, the Blazers roster now sits at 23 players including two goaltenders, eight defenseman and 13 forwards.
