
Rebels Get DeBrusk From Broncos

RED DEER, AB - Brent Sutter, General Manager/Head Coach of the Red Deer Rebels Hockey Club, announced today a trade with the Swift Current Broncos. The Rebels have acquired 19-year old forward Jake DeBrusk in exchange for 18-year old forward Lane Pederson, a 1st round selection in the 2017 Western Hockey League Bantam Draft and a 3rd round pick in the 2016 WHL Bantam Draft.
DeBrusk is in his third season in the Western Hockey League. He has played in 168 games, scored 66 goals and 80 assists for 146 points. He was a 1st round selection of the Boston Bruins, 14th overall, in the 2015 National Hockey League Draft.
