Real Salt Lake Announces Full 2019 Preseason Schedule
January 15, 2019 - Major League Soccer (MLS) - Real Salt Lake News Release
HERRIMAN/SANDY, Utah - Real Salt Lake announced plans for its 2019 preseason today as the club begins preparations for its 15th season in Major League Soccer.
This year, RSL will hold camp in four different locations beginning with one day at the club's Zions Bank Real Academy training facility in Herriman, Utah, on Monday, January 21. That will be followed by a stint in Los Angeles, California followed by week-long return to the Zions Bank Real Academy. As previously announced, RSL will take part in the Pacific Rim Cup in Honolulu, Hawaii before a two-week training stint in Tucson, Arizona where it will play four matches in the Mobile Mini Sun Cup.
This will be RSL's first trip to Hawaii, adding to the growing list of preseason destinations that has already included trips to Argentina, California, Florida, South Carolina and, most frequently, Arizona.
After reporting to Herriman on January 21 for the first day of camp, RSL will fly to Los Angeles the following day where it will spend five days training before returning to Utah. The club will continue camp in Herriman for eight days before travelling to Hawaii for its debut in the Pacific Rim Cup where it will play two matches in a six-day span. The next stop for RSL is Tucson, Arizona where club will then spend nearly two weeks where it will face three fellow MLS clubs and USL Championship Western Conference Champion Phoenix Rising FC.
RSL will then kick off the 2019 MLS regular season on the road against the Houston Dynamo on March 2 before hosting Vancouver Whitecaps FC on March 9 at Rio Tinto Stadium.
