Reading Promotes Two…Releases One

READING, PA – The Reading Royals, the ECHL affiliate of the Los Angeles Kings, have announced that forward David Masse and defenseman Jeff Finger have been recalled to Hershey. Both Masse and Finger did attend the Hershey Bears training camp.

Masse, a Montreal Quebec native, was the runner up for ECHL Rookie of the Month of October. His 12 points leads all Reading scorers. Currently, Masse is tied for the ECHL rookie scoring lead with (12 pts.) and is first in assists (9). The Reading contracted forward is also tied for fourth in scoring in the ECHL. Two of Masse's three tallies have come on the power play.

Jeff Finger has had a solid professional start in Reading. In seven starts, Finger has tallied two goals and four points. Both of his tallies came on the power play in Wheeling last Sunday. Finger also has six minutes in penalties this season. The Michigan native is one of two players under NHL contracts on the Royals roster. He is under contract with the Colorado Avalanche. Cody Rudkowsky is the other NHL contracted player (St. Louis Blues).

Reading returns to the Jungle on Friday, November 14 to battle the Toledo Storm at 7:05 p.m. The first 2,000 fans through the turnstile receive a free Royals schedule poster courtesy of Yuengling Lager and All Star Distributing. Sunday, November 16 Reading takes on the Greensboro Generals at home at 5:05 p.m. The first 2,500 fans through the gate receive a Royals megaphone provided by the Cinema Center of Reading.
