
Wranglers' Magliarditi Named Sun National Bank ECHL Saver of the Month

PRINCETON, N.J. - Marc Magliarditi of the Las Vegas Wranglers is the Sun National Bank ECHL Saver of the Month for October.
Magliarditi was 5-0-0 with a 1.98 goals against average and a .944 save percentage helping the expansion Wranglers begin the season with a 5-1-1 record and first place in the Pacific Division.
The 27-year-old Magliarditi helped Las Vegas get the first win in team history with 34 saves in a 5-3 win at Idaho on October 17. He returned between the pipes on October 21 for the Wranglers home opener and made 35 saves in a 4-2 win over Bakersfield in front of 7,208 fans.
Selected in the sixth round (146th overall) by Chicago in the 1995 National Hockey League Entry Draft, Magliarditi made 25 saves in a 4-1 win over Idaho on October 24. The 6-0 and 190-pound Magliarditi had 40 saves in a 3-2 overtime win against San Diego on October 28 and closed out the month with 36 saves in a 3-2 win against Idaho on Friday.
Magliarditi led the ECHL with five wins in October and tied for the league lead with 170 saves while ranking fifth with a .944 save percentage and 12th in goals against average with 1.96.
In 1998-99, Magliarditi led the ECHL with 32 wins and was second in goals against average with 2.27 while helping the expansion Florida Everblades finish with a 45-20-5 record and a berth in the Kelly Cup Playoffs. Magliarditi, who was named Second Team All-ECHL, set Florida team records for wins, shutouts (5) and goals against average (2.27) in 1998-99, and the following season set the team record for save percentage with .923 while going 22-9-0 as the Everblades set an ECHL record with 108 points (53-15-2). In addition to Florida, Magliarditi has played in the ECHL with Columbus (Ohio), Louisiana and Richmond.
